Sawtooth Mountain

The mountain is 329.4 m tall. You can enjoy not only hiking on the mountain but seeing lots of historical locations on the mountain. This mountain used to be a stone quarry from Edo period which is more than 300 years ago until 1982.
The mountain is also known for being the site of Japan’s largest Buddha, although this fact seems to be little known even among Japanese.
We will see around with a local guide so that we can learn about the history of the mountain and can avoid missing nice spots to visit on the mountain. Don't forget to bring your camera ready for lots of photo shooting opportunities!

Great View from the summit
If you are lucky with the weather, you'll be able to see Mt. Fuji from the port town or from the summit of Nokogiri mountain. Despite the mountain being only 300 meters high, some parts of the trail are quite steep. It is not an easy hike!
The oldest temple Nihon-ji
In the mountain, there is one of the oldest temple called Nihon-ji Temple. The stone carved Buddha is one of the biggest in Japan.
