Nagashima island is a town located in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. You can find the best じゃがいも (potatoes), デコポン (oranges), and ブリ (yellowtail) and Kagoshima’s most well known 焼酎 (shochu, type of sake) distilled in this island. This island is blessed with a mild climate, beautiful coastlines and an enchanting view of the blue ocean.

Agricultural experience and BBQ
You can taste local food including vegetables that you harvest. Also, if you are lucky, you can see ホタル (fireflies) at night.
A Cruise with local fishermen
You can see around the island from a boat and the world’s biggest ブリ (yellowtail) sea farms. At night, you can see something really beautiful in the dark sea. But what you can see is a secret until the last moment…
焼酎 (Shochu) tasting and find your favorite
“Shimabijin” is a local shochu manufactured by five different breweries. This label is ranked in the Top 10 in Japan.
